Introducing QuantumListener
An AWS-powered podcast station built with the Strands Agents SDK.
Quantum computing research moves rapidly. New and substantially updated papers arrive throughout each week across algorithms, error correction, hardware, sensing, simulation, and adjacent fields. Keeping up is valuable—but time-consuming.
We built QuantumListener around a simple question: what if you could just listen to the week in quantum research?
The system discovers and deduplicates new quant-ph work, classifies it, prepares accessible and technical summaries, and assembles a coherent source-backed podcast. It then produces narration, transcripts, citations, show notes, and a published episode automatically.
Evidence before hype
Scientific provenance is central to the project. When an abstract says “we demonstrate,” QuantumListener treats that statement as an author-reported result—not an independently established fact. Source links and evidence labels remain attached so listeners can return to the original research.
The agentic workflow
QuantumListener uses Strands Agents SDK and Amazon Bedrock for its editorial workflow, Amazon Polly for narration, and AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, EventBridge Scheduler, SQS, and EC2.
The result is a practical example of agents handling small, repetitive tasks—checking updates, sorting, deduplicating, summarizing, and publishing—so people can spend more time on understanding, judgment, creativity, and discovery.
Press play and catch up with a week of quantum research while commuting, exercising, or working in the lab.
Built for the Agents for Humans Hackathon. We would love feedback from people working in quantum computing, scientific communication, research agents, or AI infrastructure.
